Fairmount Presbyterian Church
5:30 - 6:30 pm (Eastern time)
Kirk Stewart, 80, passed away at home on October 26th from complications from pancreatic cancer.
Kirk was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from University School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University in Virginia and a law degree from Cleveland State University. Kirk worked for several non-profit organizations in Cleveland and was a partner in the private law practice Stewart and Siebert, LLP.
Kirk was a sailor, jokester, historian, card-player, meticulous woodworker, maple-syrup snob, crab-man, fisherman, forager, amazing dad, brother, cousin, and friend to many. He spent his years DIY’ing an old house into a home, showing off his extensive collection of historical weapons, and getting a laugh whenever he could. He is survived by his wife Georgeann, his son Ryan, his Sister Mary, his Sister-in-law Chris, his Nieces Kelsey, Melissa, and Sherry, and several well-cared for bladed weapons. He will be deeply missed.
There will be a memorial service at 5:30pm on Sunday at Fairmount Presbyterian Church in Cleveland Heights. Doors will open at 5pm, the service will run from 5:30 - 6:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Voyageur Outward Bound School, in his beloved Boundary Waters, would be an appropriate cause for donations. Donations can be made directly at https://www.outwardbound.org/vobs/donate-today/
