Betty Ann Root, Age 92, passed away December 5, 2022. Daughter of the late Fannie J. and Edward Root; loving sister of Nora Lea (Allen) Hancock, and the late Roberta (Robert) Smolik; much loved aunt of Deborah (Tim) Byrne, Jodie (David) Knuchel, Mark (Dawn) Hancock, and Garry (Pam) Graves; godmother to Louise (Brian) Isroff; Cousin to Peggy (Marvin) Sugarman, Stuart Root, and the late Elton Jr. (Joanne Root Knight) Root; Great-aunt and Great-great aunt, cousin, friend, coworker to many and a devoted mom to Missy the cat.
She was an inspiration of generosity, humor, faith, hope and love. Betty was a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College and retired as manager of the Cleveland Clinic’s Hematology Lab. Betty’s kindness, love of family and friends, humor, gentle wisdom, and love of nature, art, and learning will be missed by all.
Family and friends alike gathered to celebrate her life on January 14th, 2023.
