CLARA CHOKENEA (nee Sinagra), age 94. Passed away peacefully on June 10, 2021. Beloved wife of 58 years of the late Arthur Charles Chokenea, Cherished mother of Clara Ann Harmon (John), Art (Lori), Chuck (Anne) and beloved Nana to Anna (Michael), Gail (Shawn), Andrew (Maddie), Sara, Charlie and Anthony plus four great grandchildren, beloved daughter of Theresa and Antonio Sinagra.
Adored baby sister of Natale F. Sinagra, Frances Mangano and Grace Marino (all deceased), and loving aunt of Theresanne (deceased), Annette, Anthony, Mary Jo and Fred and many great nieces and nephews.
A lifelong Cleveland resident, Clara graduated from John Adams High School in January 1945 and worked as a secretary at the US Department of the Navy where she met Art. She is fondly remembered by many at Mayfield High School from which she retired in 1989 after 17 years. She faithfully served as a Eucharistic minister at St Paschal Baylon Church.

Contributions in Clara's name may be made to Heartland Hospice (ProMedica Hospice Memorial Fund) which assists those who are coping with
terminal illness, death, and the process of grief and bereavement. It also supports services and education related to hospice care.
