Constance A. "Connie" Brown (nee Anielski), age 87
Peacefully passed away on January 26, 2021 as she would have wanted - with her family near, an occasional laugh as we shared stories and lots of love.
Beloved wife of the late George. The best friend and mother to her daughter, Kate, and the loving mother-in-law of Nelson Wittenmyer. Born in 1933, Connie was the daughter of the late Julie and Frank Anielski, the dear and youngest sister of the late Henry, Lucian, Robert, Victoria, Mathew, Natalie, Ted and Jeanette and their spouses. A beloved aunt to countless nieces and nephews, and the lifelong friend of Barbara Minto.
Connie spent her career as a library aid in the Shaker Heights School District which fulfilled her love of books, reading and children. She was a master at crossword puzzles and she and Nelson were never without a jigsaw puzzle on the dining room table. She took pride in being a multiple time graduate of the Cleveland Clinic's Pulmonary Rehabilitation program and she loved her two care partners, Anita and Kristal, who are part of our family.
Most of all, she was a woman who possessed unlimited kindness, wit, unwavering strength and beautiful independence (which sometimes meant a wave of the hand)! She simply did what was right; never seeking recognition or reward. She was our one in a million.
The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate, expert care over the years of Dr. Bohdan Pichurko and the Cleveland Clinic Pulmonary Rehabilitation team.
