Frank Tainer

FRANK TAINER, age 100

Beloved husband of 69 years to the late Doris (nee Kresse). Loving father of Susan Tainer, Jeanne Vernak, Thomas Tainer (Meg), Kathy Gaydos (Mike), Daniel Tainer (Nancy), Diane Bickett (Tim) and Christopher Tainer (Anne). Devoted grandfather of 17, great grandfather of 17. Dear brother of Jim Tainer (Ann, both deceased) and Robert Tainer (Mary Ellen).

Frank was the owner of Kresse's Supermarkets, which began as a butcher shop on the east side of Cleveland by his father-in-law, Ludwig Kresse. In the early 70s Frank expanded and relocated his grocery business to Bainbridge Township and later, the city of Chardon. Frank was beloved by his customers and employees alike for his generosity and kindness. Following his retirement in 1991, Frank enjoyed golf, tennis, skiing and traveling with his wife Doris and dear friends from Gesu Parish.

Private Inurnment All Souls Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to meet for Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Saturday, Oct. 28 at Gesu Church, Marian Chapel, 2470 Miramar Blvd, University Hts.
