Lois Rice

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Rice (nee Delamater), age 98, loving wife of Richard (deceased), for 63 years, who passed away on July 22, 2023, in the presence of her family members.  

Lois, FORMERLY OF Shaker Heights, was the cherished wife of Richard (deceased); mother of Richard (Sally), Lindsey Cassidy (Michael), Clark, Daniel (Amy); Grandmother of seven; and Great-grandmother of eleven.

Lois enjoyed gardening, her cats, and travelling the world with her husband. Lois was a selfless person, who volunteered with multiple charitable organizations throughout the community.  But most of all, Lois was devoted to her family who are all grateful she was in their lives. 

The family is thankful to all of the staff at Laurel Lake and Northeast Ohio Hospice who lovingly cared for Lois.

A private graveside service was held.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to:  Laurel Lake at 200 Laurel Lake Drive, Hudson, OH 44236; or Alzheimer’s Association of Cleveland, 23215 Commerce Park, Beachwood, OH 44122.
