Mari D. Blackburn (nee Regutti) age 61
Born March 22, 1958 in Pittsburgh, PA and passed away, age 61, at Hillcrest Hospital on Tuesday November 20, 2019. Mari was the eldest daughter to Carl and Grace Regutti. Mari moved to Shaker Heights as a young girl where she later grew up and met her beloved husband of 33 years, Daniel Blackburn. They then moved to Maple Heights to begin their family of five. Mari was the very loving mother to Michael Blackburn, Amanda Blackburn, and Heather Blackburn. She was a proud Grandma to Alexis, Johnathan, Adriana, Michael Jr., Kylee, and Genevieve, and Great-Grandma to Khai. Mari was the dear sister to Carl Jr. (Toni) Regutti, Diane (Andy) Keil, and Dorette (Mark) Arbogast. She was the loving Aunt and Cousin to many.
Mari was a beautiful person inside and out. She had the biggest heart, made of pure gold. Mari lived for her family. She always put everyone before herself, she made sure everyone was taken care of and did it with a smile on her face. She was always a listening ear, a word of advice, and a shoulder to lean on. Mari had such a kind soul and gentle touch. Mari had a witty sense of humor with a contagious smile that would light up the room. She was a strong minded woman with a fiery spirit. Mari was a fighter and defender, a nurturer and caregiver, and a lover and a friend. She was a true warrior and one of a kind.
Spending time with family and friends was Mari's favorite thing to do. She also loved traveling to North Carolina to visit family and go to the beach. She enjoyed watching fireworks, having bonfires, and shopping. Mari had a very creative mind and loved decorating and doing crafts. Mari loved to take weekend drives with her husband and discover new places. She enjoyed going to Amish Country, gift shops, and different restaurants. Mari was so full of life and adventure. She will be deeply missed by everyone but the light of her spirit will live in our hearts forever.
