Nancy Laura Junglas"Busia" or "Da Boosh" (nee Hodoski), 84, always quipped, 'I'm here, you're there, everybody's gotta be somewhere.' Now she has gone somewhere, heavenly we hope, relieved of her earthly pain on 9/23/18. She was a force to be reckoned with, keeping her independent, fiery spirit until moments before she passed. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Busia in her 84 years with us: Always keep the oil rags separate from the other rags. Do not play with the candle wax at the table because you'll end up spilling it on the table cloth. When you take something from the drawer, put it back or else! Always wear colorful clothes because they will make you smile. Pay a little bit more for the good stuff, you'll appreciate in the end. You may read some of these and recall a time where she made you smile, touched your heart, or even your funny bone. Nancy, known in her younger days as the Blonde Tigress, graduated from Laurel School and was the high school sweetheart of Donald (d. 2014). She went to Centenary Jr. College in Hackettstown, NJ, and worked as a medical secretary. She and Don married while he was in medical school, and had many a good party story about life with the Phi Gams. Nancy became the primary support system for her family by keeping the home and children running in top form. She taught us how to do our own laundry, iron Dad's shirts (a Saturday task so we could watch TV while ironing), set the table (thank goodness for "white gloves" school!), play an instrument (all four kids had to pick an instrument to play), even the precise way to clean window glass and brighten up a countertop with Comet (it had to have bleach in it!). She even packed lunches every day for the 4 kids. She was an avid gardener a volunteered for various groups, and loved summer tomatoes and peaches. For many years, she played tennis with the "Tennis Ladies" and had a tradition of celebrating Chinese New Year at a local Chinese restaurant. She loved finding recipes, cooking great food and most of all sharing it her family and others. We will miss the marinated flank steak, barley with mushrooms and kluski. As one of the most tech savvy 80+ year olds around, she could use the phone to chat with family miles away, frequently texted, loved emojis, made many Facebook friends, and even sent a few Snapchats! She and Don enjoyed frequently participating in their now grown children's activities (Laura Junglas, William Junglas (Barbara) Sacramento, CA, Lynn Lynch (Mark) and Philip Junglas (Lynn), and their now grown grandchildren's activities throughout their younger years: Jessica Perkey (John, Houston, TX), Timothy Junglas (Jackie), Alexander (Columbus), Hillary and Hannah Junglas, Christopher, Mykah and Victoria Junglas (Sacramento, CA), Fiona Lynch (Brooklyn, NY). Busia was also blessed with five great-grandchildren (Sam and Eleanor Perkey, Lucille, Bennett and Maxwell Junglas, Bella and Mia Junglas). In addition to immediate family, Busia is survived by her brother Arthur Hood (Carol) and her sister-in-law, Diane Richardson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial service will be Saturday, Oct. 20th at 1 p.m. at Our Lady's Chapel at Gilmour Academy, 34001 SOM Center Rd., Gates Mills, OH. (Don't forget to wear your colorful clothes!) Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Development Office, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110
