Richard P. Bloss

Richard P. Bloss, 90, of Solon, passed away December 7, 2024

Richard was born March 13, 1934 in Harlingen, TX, the only child of Alba Harrison and Virginia (nee Kehr) Bloss. He was raised in suburban Washington D.C. and was a 1952 graduate of Bethesda Chevy Chase High School. Richard was a graduate of the University of Michigan with both his bachelor and master’s degrees in electrical engineering. In 1978 he received an MBA from Cleveland State University. Richard worked for NCR, Bunker Ramo, and later worked as a business management consultant for Booz Allen and Hamilton. He continued to work as a technical writer for the automation industry into his late 70s.

Richard’s hobbies were skiing and genealogy. He volunteered for many years at The Fairhill Center and the Solon Senior Center helping others research their family tree.

Richard was a loving and devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Donna Jean (nee Barton), son Mark, daughter Susan Wattle (Bruce), and was dearest Papa to granddaughters Meredith and Vivian Wattle.
