She was born on February 10, 1941 in Alliance, Ohio to Gerald and Sarah McDaniel. Sandra was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was married for 56 years to William Bandy, Jr., who passed away in 2018. They met in Alliance and raised three children, mostly in the Cuyahoga Falls area – all attending Woodridge Schools. She is survived by son William Bandy III, daughter-in-law Jennifer and granddaughters Rachel and Leah of Bismarck, ND, daughter Michelle Bandy-Zalatoris, son-in-law Tony, granddaughter Avery and grandson Ian of Cleveland Heights, OH and son Bernard Bandy of New York, NY, as well as her sister Karen Awalt and her brother Jack McDaniel. She was preceded in in death by her sister Doris Casey, brothers Gerald McDaniel, Jr. and Ron McDaniel, parents Gerald and Sarah McDaniel and husband William.

Sandra's life was highlighted by her generosity and her dedication to serving those in need. She worked for over thirty years as head cook and kitchen manager for the Good Samaritan Hunger Center in Akron. She was passionate about providing nourishing meals to those experiencing hardships, and was recognized by many for her warm spirit and kindness.

In her spare time, Sandra enjoyed baking, attending rock concerts, traveling and being in the outdoors- hiking, camping, gardening, fishing, boating and bird watching. She loved cats and animals of all kinds - always keeping a box of dog biscuits in her car in the event that she would encounter a hungry stray in her travels around town. She was an avid Cleveland sports fan and particularly enjoyed following the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Sandra will be deeply missed. The joy, warmth, love and humor with which she lived her life made this world a better place.
