YANIQUE BARRETT, age 31
Beloved mother of Amias and Harlem Smith. Loving Fiance of Darrel Smith. Treasured daughter of Villers Barrett and Claudia Castell. Dearest brother of Louis Longmore. Cherished granddaughter of George and Traycie Thompson and niece of Marva.
Yanique was born in Jamaica on May 14, 1991 to Villers Barrett and Claudia Castell. Yanique was fostered by her aunt Marva and grandfather George in 9 Miles Bull Bay, St Andrews, Jamaica. She attendeded St Benedict primary school and later went on to Donald Quarrie High School.
In 2006 Yanique migrated to the United States of America when she came to live with her father in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended Richmond Heights High School where she struggled at first to fit in because of her deep Jamaican accent which she complained about on the first day of school. Her step-mother Sharon gave her a pep talk after school and let her know they were all jealous because they couldnt speak like her. She ran with that one. Later Yanique was loved by the entire student body and faculty members of the Richmond Heights High School. Yanique was a jovial person, a social butterfly. She played softball in high school and she also enjoyed basketball.
After graduating, she attended Cleveland State University with the intent to study to be a coroner. which was shortly lived. She put school on hold when she had her first adorable son Amias and soon after Harlem. Yanique was a blessing to us all ,she will be sadly missed.
